Full Stack Developer Intern (MySIP)

Position Overview

• Role: Full Stack Developer Intern
• Program: National Structured Internship Programme (MySIP) - TalentCorp
• Allowance: RM 600 per month
• Duration: Minimum 10 weeks
• Location: 100% Remote (Work From Home)

Technical Environment

The intern will work with a modern, industry-standard stack:

• Frontend: Astro.js, React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and Tailwind CSS.
• Backend: TypeScript (Nest.js) and Java (Spring Boot).
• Data & Caching: PostgreSQL and Valkey/Redis.
• DevOps/Workflow: GitHub (Version Control) and Scrum (Agile Project Management).

Key Responsibilities

The intern will be actively involved in:

• Frontend Development: Building and styling high-performance, SEO-friendly pages using Astro.js, React.js, and Tailwind CSS.
• Backend Development: Assisting in the development of scalable APIs and microservices using Nest.js and Spring Boot.
• Data Persistence: Writing optimized SQL queries and implementing caching strategies with Valkey/Redis to enhance application speed.
• Agile Practices: Participating in all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Code Management: Utilizing GitHub for version control, branching, and managing Pull Request (PR) workflows.

Candidate Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• MySIP Eligibility: Must be a Malaysian citizen.
• Possess a strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript and a basic understanding of Java.
• Familiarity with CSS frameworks, especially Tailwind CSS.
• Demonstrates self-motivation and the ability to work effectively in an independent, remote setting.

Internship Outcome: Upon successful completion, the candidate will gain proficiency in building a complete full-stack application and successfully design, develop, and deploy one independent functional module or Small MVP.
